If you follow college sports beyond your own team with any reasonable degree of consistency, you know how frequently the Rutgers athletic department and current athletic director Julie Hermann have embarrassed the school in recent years.
We now have yet another reason to hope that Hermann will be fired at Rutgers:

Let’s see if the school, perhaps jolted into awareness not only by the accumulation of Hermann’s idiotic acts, but also by the temporary increase in social awareness due to the NFL’s rash of domestic violence incidents, will find something resembling a spine.
(Don’t be sure it will, but this could represent a tipping point. Stay tuned.)
