Notes and Observations
- As always, remember that these rankings are fluid, and will change from week-to-week.
- Surprisingly, we all agreed on something for a change, as North Dakota State was the unanimous choice at No. 1. How impressive does the Bison’s win over Iowa look after the Hawkeyes took out Michigan? NDSU Twitter certainly had fun with it.
- Our panel disagreed on team No. 2, as both Eastern Washington and Sam Houston State received consideration. In the end, the Eagles played a tougher schedule, so they got the nod. However, the Bearkats can change that perception this weekend (more on that below).
- North Carolina A&T made the biggest move since our last poll, jumping from No. 9 to No. 6. The Aggies will face North Carolina Central on Saturday for the MEAC title. A win in that contest would send A&T to the Celebration bowl for the second straight season.
- Central Arkansas debuts in our poll at No. 9. Since losing to Samford in week two, the Bears have rattled off eight straight wins, including a victory over Arkansas State, which is currently tied for first in the Sun Belt. Central Arkansas travels to Sam Houston State this weekend to decide the Southland Conference title.
