Michigan athletic director David Brandon released a statement just before 1 a.m. early Tuesday morning. He did so in the hope that an odd-hour news dump would make a significant problem go away for him and head football coach Brady Hoke.
Problems go away, though, when leaders demonstrate competence and leadership. Such qualities are not found in Brandon’s statement, which you can read here.
