When it comes to helmet designs there are two trends I think are difficult to go wrong with. Helmets with a matte or chrome finish are pretty slick in most cases, and it seems Kentucky is looking to add some shiny flair to their look in 2014.

This image does not give us a great look at the possible chrome helmet, but it is enough to get us wondering about the possibilities. Is it a white helmet with blue logo? It seems like it, although a silver shade on the helmet might be interesting to see.
By my own rule of thumb, I am ready to give this new Kentucky helmet a nod of approval, but I will reserve ultimate judgement for when we can get a more detailed look.
