Here is a breakdown of the top five games of Week 5 of the 2014 NCAA Football season involving an American Athletic Conference team:
Temple Owls @ UConn Huskies | 4:00 PM EST @ Rentschler Field | Average Ticket Price = $45 | Get-In Price = $22
We’ll start off with the only intra-conference matchup The Temple Owls will play their first conference game of the year as they face off against the Connecticut Huskies at Rentschler Field. The Huskies sit at 1-3 and lost their first conference game last week on Friday night when they fell 17-14 to South Florida. Temple will try to do the same as they enter the game 2-1 with victories over Vanderbilt and Delaware State.
Currently, the average price for UConn football tickets is $45 for the game with a get-in price of $22.
South Florida Bulls @ Wisconsin Badgers | 12:00 PM EST @ Camp Randall Stadium | Average Ticket Price = $78| Get-In Price = $26
Though the Big 10 has struggled at times this year, the South Florida Bulls will have their hands full when they visit Camp Randall Stadium to face the Wisconsin Badgers. Wisconsin is 2-1 on the year, though their only loss was a four point defeat to LSU in the opening week of the year. That was played at NRG Stadium in Houston and since then they’ve rattled off back to back home wins.
This will be the first road trip for the Bulls and fans looking to go to the game will find tickets beginning at $22.
Tulane Green Wave @ Rutgers Scarlet Knights | 12:00 PM EST @ High Point Solutions Stadium | Average Ticket Price = $38 | Get-In Price = $8
The Green Wave of Tulane will look to win their first road game of the year as they travel to Piscataway to face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Rutgers sits at 3-1 on the year and this is the final game before they begin a brutal stretch of play including games against Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.
Cincinnati Bearcats @ Ohio State Buckeyes | 6:00 PM EST @ Ohio Stadium | Average Ticket Price = $190 | Get-In Price = $96
The Buckeyes have the highest average ticket price of any game on this list, currently at $190 and a get-in price of $96. The get-in price alone trumps the average ticket price for all four of the other games.
Memphis Tigers @ Ole Miss Rebels | 7:30 PM EST @ Vaught Hemingway Stadium | Average Ticket Price = $59 | Get-In Price = $31
The Rebels are ranked 10th in the country currently, though Memphis is the final game they have before SEC play begins with a very difficult five game stretch. Following this week’s game, they’ll face Alabama at home, Texas A&M on the road, Tennessee at home, and then finish with a road game against LSU and a home game against Auburn.
If they can get out of that stretch undefeated, Ole Miss tickets surely won’t be as cheap as $31 for the final two home games of the season.
