I admit I have made the mistake of saying the Arizona Wildcats play in Tempe, Arizona before and I heard plenty of it from the fans of the Wildcats. I imagine any confusion between Arizona and Arizona State is a sensitive subject for some, and understandably so. I try to double check anytime I write or talk about either to make sure I haven’t slipped. And if I were to ever mail something to either school, I would triple check.
Somebody from the American Football Coaches Association probably should have quadruple checked before shipping the AFCA All-American plaque for former Arizona running back Ka’Deem Carey, That is because it arrived in Tempe, Arizona at Arizona State’s offices.
