Former South Carolina starting QB Connor Mitch transfers to James Madison

Just last year Connor Mitch came out of fall practice as the big man on campus. He was the starting quarterback for Steve Spurrier and the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Not one year later, Mitch has announced that he will transfer to James Madison University.

In two games as a starter in 2015, Mitch completed 44.8% of his passes with 1 TD against 0 INT. He also ran for 51 yards and a touchdown. In those two games, South Carolina went 1-1. Mitch left the loss to Kentucky in the second quarter due to an injury and that was the last snap that he took at the University of South Carolina.

Mitch will have two years of eligibility remaining at James Madison.
