Georgia and UNC will meet in 2016 Chick-fil-a Kickoff Game

It will be an ACC/SEC match-up to start the year in 2016. Both Georgia and North Carolina are familiar with the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game as both have came up short in previous games. In 2010, UNC lost to LSU 30-24 and in 2011 Georgia fell to Boise State 35-21.

Believe it or not these teams have actually played 30 times with Georgia holding a 16-12-2 edge and have won the last four although that last victory was in 1971.

Georgia will play North Carolina in the 2016 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, Gary Stokan, president and CEO of Peach Bowl Inc., confirmed for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday morning. The game is set for Sept. 3, a Saturday, but no kickoff time or television plans have been established.
