Longhorn Fail: Texas gives UCLA ball to start first and second half

After the finish to the Georgia/South Carolina game, I thought I had seen just about everything in college football. Not so fast my friend…..

UCLA won the coin flip to start the game and they chose to defer to the second half, which gave them the right to choose if they wanted to kickoff or receive to start the second half (naturally they would choose to receive).

Because of UCLA deferring, Texas then had the option to kick or receive and they chose to kick which meant that for the only time I can ever remember…one team (UCLA in this case) would recieve both the opening kickoff and the kickoff to start the second half.

Man, it’s been a rough year for Charlie Strong and Texas.
