The amount of coaching moves that have taken place after signing day is getting ridiculous. The biggest one that made noise was Jeff Ulbrich leaving UCLA for the Atlanta Falcons but that was far from the only one.
Coaching changes are inevitable but the timeline of when they take place (especially in conjunction with National Signing Day) needs to change.
New Nebraska head coach Mike Riley has some thoughts on the subject:
Nebraska coach Mike Riley said he’s open to a discussion on possible recourse for recruits who lose a coach in the aftermath of signing day.
“There, frankly, is something there that I don’t feel comfortable about,” Riley said.
“After signing date,” he said, “we need to talk about that — what can be done, what are the kids’ options? Can they be allowed to make another choice?”
