Monte Morris Caps Iowa State Comeback Over Texas

The Texas Longhorns had a big lead pretty much all night against the Iowa State Cyclones in the Big 12 tournament. It was looking like Texas was on their way to cementing an NCAA tournament bid as they held a 10 point lead with 3:35 remaining. Then Texas decided to go all out Texas. Iowa State started chipping away. After four free throws, back to back 3s around a Texas turnover by Dustin Hogue and Monte Morris tied the score at 67.

For some reason, Rick Barnes told his Texas team to run the offense with 11 seconds left and the shot clock off. Felix would miss a three pointer that Hogue rebounded. ISU came down the court and Monte Morris did this to send the extremely pro-Iowa State crowd into a frenzy:

ISU advance to the semifinals. Texas is going to have a long weekend. Rick Barnes is going to have a very hot seat.
