Stanford is rolling into Notre Dame Stadium later today, and somebody at ESPN thinks this is Notre Dame’s first game against a power conference opponent.

Notre Dame has already played Michigan and Purdue form the Big Ten and Syracuse from the ACC. This is an obvious error for ESPN. Mistakes happen. In fairness, perhaps the person putting that graphic together was only looking at the October calendar. If that is the case, it is true that Notre Dame is playing its first power conference opponent this month, or week.
If nothing else, the oversight here shows juts how little some think of Michigan, Purdue and Syracuse.
