A number of college football fans have been waiting for the day when Pittsburgh would once again embrace the script logo of the days past. The “Pitt” script hasn’t been seen much since the school went with the different take on the school colors to focus more on the gold. But wait no more, because this weekend the Panthers are bringing back the script.

It’s not quite the same as the old days with the lighter blue uniforms and mustard yellow helmets worn by the likes of Dan Marino and Tony Dorsett, but it’s a nice start and a nice way to get back to the roots of the football program.
