Summer Reading: Pittsburgh’s Patrick Amara

It’s the weekend, but it’s not a college football weekend… not yet. An FCS game greets the world on Aug. 23, and the first FBS Saturday doesn’t arrive until Aug. 30. These next few weekends, then, give you an opportunity to read up on the coming season. We at The Student Section are here to help. Throughout the next few weekends, come to The Locker for our Summer Reading series.

One piece from the past week that’s definitely worth reading is this fine effort by Jared Shanker of ESPN on Pittsburgh Panther safety Patrick Amara.

From the piece:

“Paranoia paralyzed Amara’s mind as he wandered the park, duffel bags in tow. He wasn’t going to be able to keep the angst at bay and wait long enough for a friend to wake up so he could knock on his door.”
