Kalani said Hill is starting QB cuz he won the spot, earned it with play — Jay Drew (@drewjay) August 23, 2016
That second tweet has to come as welcomed news to Cougar fans. After all, Tanner Mangum had a solid season, completing 59.9% of his passes for 3,377 yards and an impressive 23/10 TD-to-INT ratio. In order for Hill to earn the job, he would have had to outplay Mangum. Since he did get the nod, that ought to ease any concerns that BYU fans about whether he’s fully recovered from injury.
