Texas Tech has fired its defensive coordinator

The Kliff Kingsbury era got off to a good start last year, but just three games into the 2014 season, he has fired his defensive coordinator:

Here’s what the Texas Tech website has to say about Wallerstedt:

Matt Wallerstedt, one of the most energetic and dynamic coaches in the game…Entering his second season, Wallerstedt brings much needed stability to a Texas Tech defense that had run through a course of five different defensive coordinators in five years.

I guess stability only does so much for you when you give up 438 yards rushing to Arkansas.
