UCLA has owned one of the cleanest and best football uniforms in college football for decades. The Bruins have a uniform as simple — and as cherished — as Penn State, Alabama, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and other schools. There was never a need for improvement; the point went without saying.
However, companies just have to try to make a new buck. Schools want to be seen as cutting-edge or something. As a result, this polluted many a Twitter timeline on Wednesday morning:
