The one thing college football fans know for sure is that the College Football Playoff top four teams will have a different look when they’re released Tuesday night for the fourth time. With the Ohio State Buckeyes losing to Michigan State on Saturday night, either Iowa or Oklahoma will claim their spot with one regular season week remaining.
With not all conferences having a championship game just yet, the final week will provide many opportunities for teams to move either up or down as some of the season’s major rivalry games are on Saturday’s slate. With secondary market ticket information provided by TiqIQ.com, below are the most expensive college football tickets for the weekend.
11/28/2015 | Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. Oklahoma Sooners | Boone Pickens Stadium | Average Price: $360.48 | Get-in Price: $158
11/28/2015 | Auburn Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide | Jordan-Hare Stadium | Average Price: $315.45 | Get-in Price: $141
11/27/2015 | Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Iowa Hawkeyes | Memorial Stadium | Average Price: $314.88 | Get-in Price: $111
11/28/2015 | Michigan Wolverines vs. Ohio State Buckeyes | Michigan Stadium | Average Price: $294.68 | Get-in Price: $160
11/28/2015 | Florida Gators vs. Florida State Seminoles | Ben Hill Griffin Stadium | Average Price: $283.51 | Get-in Price: $135
Iowa and Oklahoma, the two teams who benefitted the most from Ohio State’s loss, own the first and third most expensive games on Saturday. Sooners have their instate rivalry game on the road against Oklahoma State at Boone Pickens Stadium with an average ticket price of $360.48 and a get-in price of $158 to take the top spot. Sooners’ fans making the road trip can book Stillwater hotels on Hipmunk starting from $39 for their final regular season game, as the Big 12 does not have a championship game.
The Hawkeyes will play in the Big Ten Championship game with a win against Nebraska, which will put them one game away from an undefeated season and almost sure chance at the CFP.
Alabama will play this season’s Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium this season with an average ticket price of $315.45 and a get-in price of $141. An Alabama victory will move them into the SEC Championship game with a chance to lock up one of the four CFP spots, but this series has seen some miraculous finishes in the recent past, as no predicted result is off the table.
Michigan can’t get into the Big Ten Championship game but can take out their frustrations on their biggest rival at Michigan Stadium. The $160 get-in price is the highest of the five games.
Lastly, Florida shakes off two close calls to look for some momentum heading into the SEC Championship game. The Gators have yet to lose at home this season, but are coming off an overtime win to Florida Atlantic.
