The Notre Dame Fighting Irish carry as much national weight as any team in the country. Notre Dame tickets are in the top two spots for the most expensive games on the 2015 season. The Irish started fast in 2014, the fifth season under head coach Brian Kelly, going 6-0 and being ranked as high as No. 5 in the AP Poll and Coaches Poll, but the train fell off the tracks, resulting in a 7-5 finish. The season ended on a high note, with the Irish defeating LSU in the Music City Bowl, the team’s first win over an SEC opponent since 2004. The game against Texas is the first game of the season, and it is Texas’ second season under head coach Charlie Strong.

Since 2009, Notre Dame has hosted an annual off-site home football game known as the Shamrock Series. Notre Dame will play the 7th game of their Shamrock Series against Boston College on November 21 at the home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park. The Eagles have not played a football game at Fenway Park since the final game of the 1956 season, which was a 7-0 loss to Holy Cross on December 1 of that year. Notre Dame has faced Washington State in San Antonio, Army at Yankee Stadium, Maryland in Landover, MD, Miami in Chicago, Arizona State at AT&T Stadium and Purdue in Indianapolis. The Irish are 6-0 in Shamrock Series games. This is by far and away the most expensive Boston College tickets for the season.

It was only a matter of time before an SEC game showed up on the list. Kyle Field will be filled to capacity when the Alabama Crimson Tide visits on October 17. Alabama is coming off a season in which they were eliminated in the inaugural College Football Playoff by the eventual champion Ohio State Buckeyes. Kyle Allen will be the Aggies quarterback for his first full season after taking over for Kenny Hill last season. The 12th man should be a huge part of the game, as Texas A&M tickets for this matchup will certainly be on all students’ wish list.
