The UConn Huskies look to defend their national title and bring back a fifth national championship to the Storrs rafters this season. If you’re a fan looking to see them play, below is a breakdown of their top five most in-demand games, according to UConn mens basketball tickets data provided by Easy Seat, an official partner of the UConn Huskies.
March 5, 2015 vs. Memphis Tigers | Average Ticket Price = $390 | Get-in Ticket Price = $54
Memphis struggled mightily last season against UConn, losing all three times they faced: at home, on the road, and at a neutral site in the AAC Tournament. They’ll surely be geared up for this early March matchup that will come exactly two weeks after they meet down in Tennessee.
January 10, 2015 vs. Cincinnati Bearcats | Average Ticket Price = $328 | Get-in Ticket Price = $36
The Bearcats are always in the national title conversation and this will be the earliest chance for UConn to get a big conference win. Cincinnati was ranked in the top ten nationally for a good portion of last season, but ultimately ended up as a five seed and fell to Harvard. They’ll look to get deeper in the tourney this year – and a better seed – and beating the Huskies will certainly help their cause.
November 30, 2014 vs. Texas Longhorns | Average Ticket Price = $192 | Get-in Ticket Price = $88
This is the biggest non-conference home matchup for the Huskies and it comes in the first month of their season. The average price is $192, significantly less than the other two conference games above on this list but the get-in price is almost double that of any other game on the UConn schedule this year.
March 1, 2015 vs. Southern Methodist Mustangs | Average Ticket Price = $140 | Get-in Ticket Price = $36
SMU boasts a legendary coach in Larry Brown and they may also have one of the best rosters in the AAC. Prognosticators are quietly expecting a solid season from the Mustangs and a win in early March against the defending champs could really boost their resume.
January 25, 2015 vs. South Florida Bulls | Average Ticket Price = $104 | Get-in Ticket Price = $53
The fifth and final most expensive home game for the Huskies is another AAC matchup against South Florida. The average ticket price is $104, about one-fourth of what it will take (on average) to see the Tigers face off against the Huskies later in the year.
